Hunny....

When I was young, I didn't have many friends. I was shy, awkward and in many cases, that weird kid no one wanted to hang out with. As a result of this, I spent a lot of time at home. I remember I was 4 when my mother first put in that video tape and introduced me to my new friend, Winnie The Pooh....

He was more than just a character to me, he was my best friend. Every day, I would join him, Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Owl and Christopher Robin on their adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood. My mother thought I was a bit crazy but I didn't care. I had (and still have) my own little life size Winnie The Pooh (which is now my back seat passenger in my car, driving my friends mad)....

At one stage in my life, I even acted as Winnie The Pooh in a stage performance in Sunway Pyramid. This little bear was my everything....

But as time went on, we drifted apart. He grew and I grew. Somewhere along the line, Christopher Robin went missing and a new girl Darby stepped in as the gangs new companion. But no matter what, I still missed the little guy....

Then a couple of months back, my eyes stumbled upon the greatest find i've ever encountered. My best friend was returning, on the big screen....

I couldn't believe my eyes. The whole gang was back, plus Christopher Robin!! Tears came into my eyes as I saw all their faces after so long, it felt like I was seeing old friends after so long. Eventually, I saw the trailer and hearing all their voices just made me break down in tears....

Come July 21st, Winnie The Pooh will be on the big screens of Malaysia....

No matter what people say, deep down, we all have a connection to something from our childhood. Be it a pet, friend, toy or book, we all have something close to our hearts. These guys are mine. I've missed you Pooh and i'm so happy you're back....
